How Diplomacy Works

Diplomacy lets neutral squads offer to join your army for gold instead of fighting. Basic Diplomacy enables this. The join chance is computed by the game from several factors — it is NOT a single flat number: how strong your army is versus the squad, the squad's mood, whether you already field the same unit type, and your hero's stats and level. The skill level adds a flat efficiency bonus on top.
